Eight killed in floods in Turkey

Eight people, six of them children, died in flooding triggered by torrential rain in northeast Turkey, Anatolia news agency reported Wednesday.

SAMSUN- Rescuers found the bodies of two little girls, raising an earlier toll of six.

Earlier they reported finding the body of a man and his two children, as well as the bodies of two other children in the basement of a block of flats in the port city of Samsun on the Black Sea, which was badly affected by the rains.

Residents also found the body of an unidentified woman in the rubble of her home in the same town.
