Turkish Red Crescent to provide fast-breaking meal

Turkish Red Crescent is going to provide fast-breaking meal in Somali capital of Mogadishu during the holy month of Ramadan.

MOGADISHU- President of Turkish Red Crescent, Ahmet Lutfi Akar, visited the crescent's tent city on Thursday in Wadajir region of Somalia.

While having talks with employees at mobile food serving unit in the premises, "We request from Turkish people to share their fast-breaking meal with Somali children and women," said Akar.

Akar stated that they were going to provide the meal for 26,000 people in the premises.

"There are 2,600 tents, 10 water supply tanks, 50 shower cabins, 80 lavatories, laundries and prayer rooms. We want to fulfill the needs of all people here," said Akar.

Noting that during the Ramadan they wanted to offer more services, Akar demanded Turkish people to help the country more.

"We want to offer more fruits and meat a day. For these additional offers we request from Turkish people more help, we want them to share their fast-breaking meal with Somalis," said Akar.
