The minister of foreign affairs of France will pay a visit to Turkey on Friday.
ANKARA- French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius will arrive in Turkey upon the invitation of Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu on August 17, according to a statement released by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday.
"This visit constitutes a reciprocation to the visit of Mr. Ahmet Davutoglu to France on July 5, 2012. On this occasion, views on regional and international issues will be exchanged mainly and bilateral relations between Turkey and France will also be discussed," the statement said.
The statement noted that Fabius was scheduled to visit the shelters where Syrians under temporary protection currently stayed in Turkey, moreover, he would hold a tete-a-tete meeting with Davutoglu in Ankara, followed by talks between respective delegations.
"The reciprocating visit by Mr. Fabius is expected to help strengthen the common will demonstrated for the development of Turkish-French relations and to constitute an opportunity for a detailed exchange of views between Turkey and France on current regional and international issues," the ministry said.
