Turkey inflation up 1.65 percent in January

Turkey's statistics authority says consumer prices index was up 1.65 percent while producer prices index was down 0.18 percent in the month of January.

Ankara - Consumer prices index in Turkey was up 1.65 percent (2003=100) in the month of January, the country's statistics authority said Monday.

TurkStat said producer prices index was down 0.18 percent as the annual CPI stood at 7.31 percent and the annual PPI was 1.88 percent.

Twelve-month average for CPI was 8.62 percent and it was 5.33 percent for PPI, TurkStat said.
